Alan Panettiere, Father of Heroes star Hayden Panettiere, was booked on felony spousal abuse charges. From what we're hearing, alcohol was a factor in the argument that allegedly turned violent this AM.

Alan was released on $50,000 bail.

Selena Gomez and Nick Jonas

Nick Jonas and Selena Gomez are reluctant to confirm their boyfriend/girlfriend relationship status with the rest of us.

Selena told Twist magazine:

"I had dinner on the beach with a crush and there were lights on the palm trees! Then, went walking on the beach, and after that we slow danced. Wait, it gets better. While we were slow dancing…my crush and I had our first kiss! And after it, I leaned back and I said, 'You cheated.' And he said, 'Why' and I said, 'I don't kiss on the first date.' Then he said, 'Well, I never really play by the rules.' I was waiting for a a director to say, 'Cut' I was like, 'Are we shooting this right now?"

Nick Jonas also recently shared with Girls' Life magazine:

"On one date, the girl said to me, 'I don't kiss on the first date.' So I said, 'I don't follow the rules.'" The brothers high-five to that one. "Ooooh! It was so good!"

American Idol try outs = odd

On Saturday, "A.I." held one of their typical open call auditions in San Juan, Puerto Rico and instead of the usual capacity crowds lined up practicing their awful renditions of tired Whitney Houston standards, according to El Nuevo Dia, only around 300 people turned out. In contrast, last month 7,000 people camped out overnight at auditions held in Northern California.

Britneys conservatorship with Jamie Spears

Britney Spears will remain under the conservatorship of her father Jamie until the end of the year, a court has ruled.

The pop star was placed in her father's care in February, following her hospitalisation in January for an alleged bipolar disorder.

According to the new court ruling, Spears' estate and finances will remain under Jamie's control until December 31st, 2008.

Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Reva Goetz confirmed after Thursday's hearing: "Ms. Spears is reluctantly agreeing to extend the temporary (conservatorship)."

The Toxic hitmaker has enjoyed a string of personal successes since her father was awarded control over his troubled daughter's estate - including extended access to her sons with ex-husband Kevin Federline, Sean Preston, two, and Jayden James, 17 months.

Federline's attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan has also praised Jamie's involvement in the case, insisting the reunion "couldn't have happened without" his assistance.

Kaplan added of his positive influence on the singer: "We're just very positive about it. Having her dad stabilizing everything is a good thing."

A status hearing has been set for 28 October.

Final season of Hannah Montana?

"Miley said it best when she said she's delighted to be part of the Disney family," the rep wrote in an email. "We start production on the third season of Hannah Montana on August 4 and have an option for a fourth season beyond that. We look forward to the Hannah Montana feature film coming to a theatre near you in Spring 2009."

Miley Cyrus may be getting ready to say goodbye to Hannah Montana. Or at least she's thinking about it.

The 15-year-old superstar feels the time may be right for her hit Disney Channel series to come to an end.

"We're thinking this is our last season," Cyrus says.

Mickey Mouse execs announced in April that Hannah Montana had been renewed for a third season.

But Cyrus explained in an interview Monday morning that she's been working on the show longer than most people realize. She was 11 when it all began. She turns 16 in November.

"I just think we did a lot of episodes," she says. "We basically did two seasons in one last year. Usually people would do one season that would be, like, 16 episodes, and we did almost 30 episodes!"

Adds Cyrus, "It seems like it's been on, like, longer."

As much as Cyrus may be thinking about parting ways with her alter ego, she insists any talk that she's trying to distance herself from Disney—or what she calls her "family"—is hogwash. "I'm still with my family," she says. "You know, they're safe. They always feel like home. And that's what I love about the company. They are family."

Cyrus' rep also quickly clarifies the starlet's talk about the end of Hannah Montana. "We do not know if this is the last season," the rep says.

Hear the wedding bells?

New parents Jamie-Lynn Spears and Casey Aldridge are busy planning their wedding, which will reportedly take place before the end of 2008.

The teen couple welcomed its first child, Maddie, into the world last month, and Zoey 101 star Spears, 17, and 19-year-old Aldridge want to seal the deal with a wedding in the groom's hometown of Liberty, Mississippi, where they share a home.

According to Ok! magazine, the pair - engaged since March - is planning a low-key southern-style wedding, but Jamie-Lynn's superstar sister Britney is expected to step in as maid of honour.

A source tells the tabloid, "She loves everything about the area where she lives. She's not going to get married at some luxury resort in the Caribbean or a hotel in Beverly Hills."

And the bride-to-be has been working out furiously to shed her baby weight so she can fit into the wedding dress of her dreams.

The insider adds, "She's already down to her pre-pregnancy weight."

Katy Perry joked in a recent interview that she was hoping to do her own version of the infamous Madonna lesbian kiss with Miley Cyrus at the upcoming Teen Choice Awards.

On his KIIS-FM radio show Monday, Ryan Seacrest said he decided to take a dip in the ocean over the weekend when, he said, "I was bit by a shark!"

Alas, the American Idol co-host, 33, wasn't hurt too badly, as he still went on the air to blab about it.

Asked by his radio co-host if anyone else got bit, Seacrest lamented: "No, just me, of course! There were like 1,000 people in the ocean, and I get bit by the shark!"

Winehouse not dead! UPDATE!

A rep for Winehouse gave this statement: "Amy Winehouse suffered a reaction to medication at home this evening and was taken to hospital. Doctors have advised that she will be kept under observation overnight and is likely to be released tomorrow."

Winehouse was hospitalized just weeks ago for early stages emphysema.

However there are many rumors circulating saying that it was a possible overdose, not medication.
